Ancient Maya Day!

Today, we were so luck to have the talented Mr Chapman come into school to teach us about The Ancient Maya. Through historical costume, he recreated the story from the start of the Maya civilisation, through their heyday to there gradual demise by the Spanish Empire.
 
The children learned about various aspects of Maya life through exciting and engaging activities. They earned about their number and calendar systems, games and there gods. 
 
Class 2 would like to say a huge thank you to Adrian from 'A Blast from the Past'  for creating such an enjoyable and activity driven day.
